Primary school in Steinbach-Hallenberg | new build

The new erected elementary school in Steinbach-Hallenberg offers 18 classes. The generous designed main entrance is meeting place for the pupils as well. From here one can reach the food counter and dining area. Further rooms are the teachers’ lounge, principal office, a library and other necessary rooms for operating the school. The classrooms in the first floor are functionally designed so that education outside in the "green" is possible, too.

The building is a two-story brickwork building with ferroconcrete ceilings. The ridge roof was covered with concrete roofing tiles. The main entrance is a glazed post-bar construction with glulam binders. The roof covering consists of colored aluminum. The facade is made of rear ventilated clinker brickwork, combined with EIFS-render.

In the outside area a schoolyard, a big playground, a traffic education site and a school garden were created for the pupils. Also parking spaces were built for the staff.
