After the break off of worn out basic fabric at the central’s border of the city Themar, research had to be done to find out how to fit a two-bay gymnasium into the historical grown area. To implicate parts of the protected city wall as a distinctive sign for the new to be built gymnasium, and the urbanistic integration into the context of surrounding housing made high demands on the concept.
